A massive £485 has been raised for The Christie Charitable Fund by young Jasmine Crompton from Glossop.

Under her own initiative, the 10-year-old swam an amazing 150 lengths – more than two miles – of Glossop Pool!

Jasmine feels very grateful to The Christie, who treated her grandad for cancer in 2006.

So much so that she was determined to raise as much money as she could to help The Christie care for others in their fight against cancer.

Jasmine received fantastic support and encouragement from all her family, friends and Charlesworth Primary School where she is a pupil and friends at Glossop Swimming Club.

Mum Janine said: “Jasmine was delighted to receive a lovely letter from The Christie Charitable Fund thanking her for her support.”
