The hairdressing team from The Hairworx on High Street West is getting its fundraising thinking caps on to come up with cash for Blythe House Hospice.

The Glossop stylists entered the hospice’s ‘Corporate Challenge’ and now have three months to turn their £50 start up fund into as much money as they can for the hospice.

Stylist Melissa Wise said: “We have so many ideas already from bake sales, raffles and even an afternoon tea party.

“We are really hoping to raise lots of money for such a great local cause who help so many people in and around Glossop.”

The team is also appealing to the Glossop community for help with their fundraising challenge.

Melissa added: “Any donations would be greatly appreciated during this fantastic fund-raiser.

“Anything from bottles of wine, vouchers or donations of cakes so we can raffle them off or for our bake sales.”

The Chapel-based High Peak hospice is ‘giving’ businesses £50 and challenging them to use it to make as much money as they can for the hospice by the end of September.

Meanwhile, keep a look out in the Chronicle for dates of The Hairworx events and for ways in which you too can help get their fundraising total up.
