Still time to have your say on Buxton Museum opening hours
Monday 14th August 2017 11:28 Buxton News Posted by Adam Higgins

Time is running out to have your say on proposals to change the opening hours at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.

A public consultation on Derbyshire County Council plans to reduce the opening hours from 39.5 to 35 hours per week is open until Monday (August 14).

Currently the museum and art gallery is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Tuesday to Friday and until 5pm on Saturday. It also opens from 10.30am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays from Easter to the end of September.

The proposals would see the museum and art gallery in Terrace Road open from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday to Saturday and from noon to 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays from Easter to the end of September.

Paper copies of the questionnaire are available from Buxton Museum and Art Gallery and people can also give their views by filling out the questionnaire online at www.derbyshire.gov.uk/buxtonmuseumopeninghours.

The results will be reported to the county council’s Cabinet in the autumn when a decision will be made.
