Changes to bus services on the way

A number of changes to local bus services are due to come into effect at the end of the month.

From Sunday, October 29, the 202 and 341 service between Glossop and Hyde will be operated by Stotts, who used to run it, as opposed to High Peak Buses.

In addition to the change of operator, there will also be a change of times, with most buses running earlier, with some exceptions.

The early morning 202 journeys from Glossop to Gamesley and back again on Monday to Fridays will remain at the same time.

However, on Saturdays, the current 7:07am and 8:10am journeys will be re-timed to leave Glossop at 7:30am and 8:30am. This means the first bus on a Saturday morning from Gamesley to Glossop will be at 7:38am instead of 7:15am.

Additionally, all journeys are renumbered to service 341, rather than 202.

There will also be changes to the timetable for the 394 service, with all journeys except the first one from Stepping Hill being timed to leave the hospital three minutes earlier than at present.

The first journey back from Stepping Hill is also expected to become slightly quicker, with it been timed to be two minutes earlier than at present at Gamesley, with rest of the journeys expected to be six minutes quicker, arriving at Gamesley 16 minutes past the hour instead of the current 22 minutes past.
