Glossop Record Club will be playing a compilation album, consisting of various artists, in full at their latest session, taking place this week.

Entitled ‘English Weather’, the album has been curated by Saint Etienne’s Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs and was released on Ace Records earlier this year.

Among the 19 tracks, spread over four sides of vinyl, are some well-known acts including Caravan, Van Der Graaf Generator, John Cale, Robert Wyatt and Camel.

And organisers say it’s the perfect soundtrack for autumn in Glossop!

You can have a listen by going along to the free session at Glossop Labour Club on Thursday (October 12) from 8pm.
