New service at Glossop GP surgeries

In order to assist patients with more urgent telephone calls, all Glossop GP practices will no longer be accepting medication requests over the telephone. 

They say this will aid access to the practice and prevent ‘prescription request errors when verbal requests are made’.

The NHS has now introduced Patient Access – an online service which allows patient to use their practice’s service on their computer or smart phone.

It allows patients to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions, contact the surgery, view your medical records, test results and more.

It has been brought in due to an increased demand on Primary Care Services, which means it can often be difficult to get through to GPs.
